Wil and Kelly Mitchell, the owners of this new lodge near Missoula, Montana, have created the Forest Grove Lodge for people to come and enjoy the lower Clark Fork River in beautiful western Montana. Nestled near the river in the Lolo National Forest, the lodge is surrounded by peaceful serenity. If you're looking for a quiet, adult (no children under 10 years) vacation, this lodge is for you to get away and relax.
The Forest Grove Lodge great room has a huge glass prowl over looking the wooded front yard and nearby Clark Fork River. With the comforts of leather seating in front of the fireplace, and a beverage from the wet bar, you can sit in groups and visit with other guests. Smaller groups, couples or individuals can enjoy cozy corners for reading or private conversations. For a spectacular view, you have no further to go than the balcony above the wet bar. From there you can see the river, wooded pines and maybe even a passing deer or elk.
Start your day with one of our tasty breakfasts, then after a long day on the river or slopes, Forest Grove Lodge can provide a hearty, home-cooked meal ( reserved ahead of time). Our dining room features a large table with family-style seating for friendly conversation, fun times and good eating. No fancy French cooking here, after all, you're in Montana!
At the end of a long day, Forest Grove Lodge offers four spacious bedrooms with private baths. Conveniently located just off the great room, the comfortable and private rooms are a great place to retreat or get a good nights’ sleep. Two bedrooms offer two full-size beds, one king-size bedroom and one with a king or two extra long twins. Guides' room outside entrance is a smaller room with 2 twins or one king.
If you really enjoy being out doors in the fresh mountain air, you'll love kicking back and watching the sun rise with a hot mug of coffee or taking in a sunset with a drink on our large covered deck.
The stars in Montana are as spectacular as the skies and there’s no better way to enjoy them than sitting next to a warm, glowing campfire. Bring out your guitar, sing a ballad or two or just share your best fishing stories with some friends. CHECK OUT OUR SPECIALS ON THE EVENT PAGE!! Check out pictures on FACEBOOK
